Welcome to National Safety Council - West Bengal Chapter

National Safety Council, West Bengal Chapter, is one of the Chapters of National Safety Council set up by the Ministry of Labour, Government of India (GOI) on 4th March, 1966. It was established in March, 1972 to focus on accident prevention by identifying local needs and fostering a safety culture through campaigns, training etc. in local language wherever required in the State of West Bengal. The Chapter is registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration. Act, 1961.It is a non-profit making society. It functions in accordance with the Memorandum of Association and the Bye-Laws, as approved by the NSC Board.

About Nsc

National Safety Council (NSC) was set up by the Ministry of Labour, Government of India (GOI) on 4th March, 1966 to develop a voluntary safety movement in the country. Over the years, NSC is providing comprehensive range of HSE services. The services include safety training, consultancy and advice on HSE issues, safety promotional material, technical publication etc.

Management

The affairs of the West Bengal Chapter are managed by the Executive committee. The Executive committee consist of 15 to 25 members including the Chairman.
