An apex level organization in the field of Occupational Safety and Health in India.

  • Set up by the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt. of India on 4th March, 1966 as an independent, non-commercial, non-profit making and autonomous society.
  • Provides a national level platform for projecting views of its members on current HSE
    issues.
  • Serves the Society by creating a preventive culture, scientific mindset and organized approach to HSE issues.
  • Facilitates to bring in the latest national and international developments and best practices in the field.

Be a national leader for providing guidance and services to make workplaces safer, healthier and environment friendly.

MISSION

Building capacity, developing material, methods, procedures and strengthening the national movement (including unorganized sector) on Safety, Health and Environment to prevent and mitigate the loss of life, human suffering and economic losses.
